I'm primarily a poet, but I dabble in visual art from time to time. I guess the best way to describe my poetry and art is that I take everything at the spur of the moment and that I use everything. I can write about the most mundane, seemingly insignificant things. My art lately is mostly collage making use of pretty much anything that sparks my attention.
I'm not a musician or film maker, but love both. See links to the left for some of my most favoritist tunes and talkies.
STORYVILLE 2012
My lover said, “Draw me a picture of what white looks like.”
I drew a machine.
“Simple as that?” he asked.
It was a heavy machine
with spaces all around it,
similar to – but not exactly
or permanently like – kisses.
My lover then said, “Your mouth machine does pretty work.”
Leaving, he left the door open. A thankful act.
He left everything to the imagination,
which is what the machine would do
(free of charge and green with envy)
if I could give it function.
